911 / CENTRAL DISPATCH

Robertson County Central Dispatch is under the supervision of Sgt. Jason Pentecost, Sgt. Gail Taylor and Cpl. Bart Posey. This division of the Sheriff's Office has fifteen full-time and two part-time dispatchers.

Our dispatch center answers all 911 calls in Robertson County with the exception of calls in the City of Springfield and White House. We dispatch for many agencies throughout Robertson County. This includes Robertson County Sheriff's Office, Robertson County E.M.S., Robertson County E.M.A., Greenbrier Police, Ridgetop Police, Cross Plains Police, Coopertown Police, and eight Volunteer Fire Departments. Currently we answer approximately 1500-1700 911 calls per month.

The Central Dispatch office consists of four complete radio dispatch consoles. At each console dispatchers also have access to our C.A.D. System and an N.C.I.C. terminal.

In the event of a large disaster we also have a mobile Communications Center / Command Post that can be brought to the incident location. This Mobile Communications Center can handle almost all tasks that are normally preformed in the dispatch center. This includes access to our C.A.D. and N.C.I.C. systems. This unit is also used at events such as the annual Theresherman Show and County Fair.

Each dispatcher is required to complete 32 hours of N.C.I.C. training in order to obtain their state certification to operate the equipment. This is in addition to other on site training required of each dispatcher.

Sgt. Pentecost is the Terminal Agency Coordinator (T.A.C.) and Sgt. Taylor is the Alternate Terminal Agency Coordinator (Alt T.A.C.) for our agency.
