The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office River Patrol began in 2011, after receiving concerns from the community in relation to safety issues and criminal activity on the Red River. The River Patrol is tasked with enforcing the laws, keeping the peace, and making the waterways safe for the citizens of Robertson County. Deputies use selective enforcement during peak seasons of river activity to accomplish this mission.

Since the inception of the River Patrol Program, Deputies have identified and targeted problem areas and times, greatly reducing the crime rate and safety issues. The Sheriff’s Office is committed to making the Red River a family friendly environment.
