Springfield, TN – An investigation by the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations has led to the arrest of Celia Ramirez-Hernandez (DOB 8/16/1975), and Misael Cruz-Hernandez (DOB 10/10/1989) in relation to the shooting death of Carlos Camaja, 24, from Springfield, TN.

On June 11th, 2024, investigators were notified of a deceased male discovered near the train tracks near North Qualls Rd next to the Robertson County/Montgomery County line. The investigation has determined that the shooting death of Carlos Camaja occurred at a residence on N. Oak St in the City of Springfield, TN. He was then brought and left at the location near the train tracks. Evidence collected during the execution of search warrants led to the arrest of Celia Ramirez-Hernandez, the girlfriend of Carlos Camaja, and Misael Cruz-Hernandez, the son of Celia Ramirez-Hernandez. This is still an open investigation.
