Winter Storm Forecasted for Robertson County

Springfield, TN, February 15, 2015 – The National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm Warning for Robertson County beginning tonight into Monday night that includes possible snow accumulation of up to 10 inches and temperatures steadily below freezing.

“We haven’t seen this type of forecast for Robertson County in over a decade,” said Sheriff Bill Holt. “We are expecting road conditions to be unsafe making travel very dangerous. Our primary concern is the safety of our citizens, so we are asking everyone to please stay off of the roads if at all possible.”

The National Weather Service is forecasting accumulations to continue throughout the day as the storm moves into our area. This will result in the roadways becoming more hazardous as the day continues. Anyone who must leave their residence is encouraged to use extreme caution.
